The Redhawks returin 2 keys from last seasons team for Coach Osbourne. Returning are senior guard Saynia Wallace after leading Monroe in scoring (14.0 ppg), assists (1.5 apg) and steals (4.5 spg) last season while being named 3rd Team All-UCHoops. Wallace along with 6'3 senior FW Saniay Gingham (9.4 ppg/10.3 rpg/1.4 bpg) is back to rebound and guard the basket. Sophomore guard Summer Jones played well as a freshman (6.2 ppg/23% from 3) and will be expected to be an outside threat for Monroe. The Redhawks open the 2023-24 season in the N. Stanly Thanksgiving Tournament on November 20-21-22.
