Parkwood Rebels

The Lady Rebels had a nice season under first year coach Brian Morris. They look to build on a second place conference finish by returning three of their top four scorers. The loss of Baylee Morton (17.1 ppg/9.3 rpg) will be tough, but rising senior Molly Setliff (14.0 ppg/3.7 apg/4.4 rpg/4.3spg) had a breakout year and earned2nd Team All-UCHoops and all-conference honors. Setliff is a diverse player who can knock down the three or get to the basket Last year’s freshman sensation. Gaither (11.8 ppg/4.5 rpg/5.4 apg/5.3 spg) seemed to get to the basket at will and wreaked havoc on the defensive end. She led Union County in steals and was second in assists last season. She was named UCHoops New Comer of the Year as a freshman. 6’2 junior, Addison Laney (5.7 ppg/6.8 rpg/1.1 apg) will need to hold down the inside defensively and on the boards with the loss of Morton. Parkwood comes into a tough new conference as they move up to 3A, but they could certainly contend for the conference title. The Rebels will open up the 2017-18 season hosting Arbrobrook on Nov. 20th.
