The Panthers will need someone to step up after the graduation of Natalie Evans (7.0 ppg/8.3 rpg) and Riley Gilmore (2.5 bpg). Junior FW Emily Polk (6.3 ppg/7.7 rpg) is a solid post player and has a nose for the ball. Senior guard Mikayla Baucom can shoot, evident from the 17 points (5-3’s) she scored vs. Weddington in the SCC tournament. Senior guard Kristin Baucom should be returning after a 4.3 ppg and 3.6 rpg season in 2021-22 and will bring leadership. The Panthers open the 2022-23 season Nov. 21 in the Milltown Classic.
