The Warriors graduate A LOT after winning back-to-back state champs. Gone are UCHoops POY Chase Lowe (17.1 ppg), Kyle Frazier (15.2 ppg) and AJ Cook (12.1 ppg). The Warriors currently have a 49-game winning streak going back to 2020-21 season, but this team is very different from that team. They have a new head coach in Rich Carsner who moves from assistant to replace Gary Ellington after 15 years. Senior Nolan Dunphy is the leader in the backcourt. Alongside of Dunphy will be junior guard Jack Ellyson played in every game last season and started roughly have the season last year, including the state title game and will look to improve in 2022-23. Senior forward Bernie Tah (2.6 ppg/2.7 rpg) returns as the lone starter from last season. Keep an eye on junior guards Grant Hamilton, Aidan Cook, and Jaiden Morris. Those three have been playing together since middle school. The Warriors open the 2022-23 season hosting Ardrey Kell HS on Nov. 18th.
