Coach Brandon Rains and the Yellow Jackets have a strong 1-2 punch in the backcourt. Returning are guards Tamuri Melton (20.6 ppg/7.2 rpg/3.5 apg/5.3 spg) and Azaryia Griffin (16.8 ppg/11.1 rpg/3.4 spg). Melton, a freshman was 3rd Team All-UCHoops and Griffin, a sophomore was 2nd Team All-UCHoops last season. Junior wing Dalila Rorie returns after putting up 5.1 ppg and 3.4 rpg. The Yellow Jackets are young, and we will keep any eye Layla Rushing, Derrianna Mclendon,and NyJaya Wingo this season. The Yellow Jackets should challenge for the Rocky River Title. The Yellow Jackets open the 2024-25 season at Lincoln Charter on Nov. 26th.
