The Mavericks were Co-SCC Champs and SCC Tournament Champions and have been the most dominant team in the SCC the past 4 seasons. The Mavs return a lot from last year’s team, and it starts with junior wing Kate Schindler (11.6 ppg/6.3rpg/2.5 apg/1.3 spg/33% from 3/All-SCC). Schindler was 2ndTeam All-UCHoops as a sophomore. Schindler has multiple D-1 offers and will only get better. Senior guard Jenny Briggs (2.8 ppg/2.1 apg) played extremely well in the 2nd half of last season and will now be called upon to lead the Mavericks. Junior guard Kiley Lenahan (7.0 ppg/3.3 rpg/2.4 apg/36% from 3) should be able to score more and will have plenty of opportunities. Junior wing Kate Scheridan, the UCHoops 6thMan of the year as a sophomore will see more time in the starting lineup. Senior forward Cadence Douglas (6.3 ppg/5.0 rpg) is a solid post player and good rebounder. Keep an eye on sophomore guard Allie Heine, a sniper from the outside with a good handle and aggressive game. The Mavericks open the 2024-25 season hosting Mallard Creek on Nov. 19th.
