Monroe (11-16, 6-6)

The Redhawks lose their top 2 scorers in Sanayia Wallace (14.7/6.9 spg) and Saniya Gingham (14.1 ppg7.9 rpg/3.1 bpg) from last year’s team. Junior Summer Jones returns for the Red Hawks, she can score (10.2 ppg) but is not expected to do it all herself. The Red Hawks will have freshman Janiya Boyd joining the team. There is talk around Union Co. she is the real deal and the comparisons to the 2023-24 UCHoops Player Of the Year Porter Ridge’s Ashanti Taylor are in order. The Red Hawks open the 2024-25 hosting Union Academy on Dec. 13th.
