The 2024-25 UnionCountyHoops.com's Newcomer of the Year Parkwood’s Neo Davis. Davis, a freshman started for the Wolf Pack in the backcourt and helped lead them to a 9-17 record. Davis finished 2nd in Union Co. with a 16.6 ppg, grabbed 4.2 rpg and 3.4 assists along with 2.5 spg. Neo scored 431 poinsts as a freshman incuding a season high 30 points in a 55-47 win over West Stanly and scored in double figures 21 times during the season. Was 6-of-13 from 3 vs. Sun Valley. Neo had a season high 8 assists vs. Ballantyne Ridge. Recorded 7 steals in a game 3 times this season. Neo was named 1st Team All-UCHoops, the UCHoops All-Newcomer Team along with being named to the All-Rocky River team. Congrats Neo!

The 2023-24 UnionCountyHoops.com's Newcomer of the Year Monroe’s Janiyah Boyd. Ms. Boyd started for Coach Osborne from game one and helped lead Monroe to a 14-8 record and into the 1st round of the state 2A Playoffs. Janiyah led Union co. in scoring with a 32.0 ppg average. Averaged 7.5 RPG, 5.6 APG, 4.3 SPG and 1.6 BPG. Named 1st team All-UCHoops as a freshman and to the UCHoops All Newcomer Team. Ms. boys scored 703 points, (school record), along with scoring 53 points (school record) in a win over West Stanly. Scored 42 points in her first varsity game in a win over Garinger. Scored in double figures in every game this season. Recorded a triple double (25/13/11) in a 79-56 win over Lake Park Prep. Scored 30+ points in a game 15 times. Ms. Boyd was named the Rocky River Conference Player of the year along with All-Rocky River. Janiyah was named UCHoops Player of the Week for Weeks 4, 12 & 13. Congrats Janiyah
