The 2019-20 UnionCountyHoops.com’s Boys Player of the Year is Weddington's Chase Lowe. Lowe finished the 2019-20 season 6th in Union Co. with a 16.3 ppg. Chase scored a season high 27 in the 73-61 win over Cuthbertson. Lowe finished third in Union Co. rebounding with a 9.0 average and grabbed a career high 19 rebounds in a 49-43 win over rival Sun Valley. Lowe finished 2nd in Union Co. in assists with 4.5 a assists per game including dishing out 7 assists in wins over Statesville and Monroe. Chase added 2.4 steals per game for Coach Ellington.

Chase Nas was named 1st team ALL-UCHOOPS.com, 1st team All-SCC, SCC Player of the Year and 1st team All-District. Chase was named UnionCountyHoops.com's Player of the Week four times in 2019-20.

Chase helped lead the Warriors to a 22-8 record, a SCC Co-Conference title, and led the Warriors to the Elite-8.

Lowe joins former Weddington Warriors Corey Rase (07/08) , 2-time winner Ryan Schwieger (15/16 & 16/17), Jordan Barber (14/15), Brandon Watts (13/14) & by being named the UnionCountyHoops.com's Player of the Year.

The 2019-20 UnionCountyHoops.com’s Girls Player of the Year is Cuthbertson's Maddie Dillinger. Ms. Dillinger finished the 2019-20 season 5th in scoring in Union Co. with a 13.7 ppg average. Maddie grabbed 6.6 rebounds per game including a season high 14 rebounds in the 38-35 win over Weddington. Ms. Dillinger dished out 2.4 assists per game and 2.0 steals for the Cavaliers. Ms. Dillinger scored a season high 23 points in a 67-39 win over Charlotte Christian. Maddie joined the 1000 point club this season and currenlty sits 29th all-time in career points(1220 pts)in Union Co. history.

Maddie was named 1st Team All-UnionCountyHoops, All-SCC, SCC Player of the Year and 2nd Team All-District. Maddie was named UnionCountyHoops.com's Player of the Week six times during the 2019-20 season.

Ms. Dillinger helped lead the Cuthbertson Cavaliers to a 28-3 record and into the Elite-8. Maddie is the first Cuthberson Cavalier to be named the UnionCountyHoops.com's Girls Player of the Year. Congrats Maddie!!!
