The Cardinals lose a lot from last year’s team that won the YVC. Gone are Ranon Suttle, Paisley Boatright and Kayl Starnes, a lot to lose from graduation. Junior wing Marianna Shine will need to step up her scoring (7.6 ppg/7.6 rpg/2.3 spg) from last season. Sophomore Laney Hildreth is another Cardinal that will shine this season after a good freshman year (6.4 ppg/2.7 rpg). The Cardinals open the 2025-26 season at Lake Norman Charter on Friday Nov. 14th.
