The Pirates will have a new coach in Cody Frady. Frady takes over for former HC Garrett Malone who moved on to Forest Hills after 6 seasons at Porter Ridge. The Pirates lost last season’s leading scorer in Samaj Long to relocating out of the state. The Pirates will return senior guard Jacob Conroy (8.8 ppg/2.2 apg & 33% from 3). Conroy started last season and will be asked to score more for Porter Ridge. Ra’Shawn Elmore (7.2 ppg/5.3 rpg) came off the bench last season BUT the athletic wing loves to get out and run the court. Junior Guard Daniel Osei (2.4 ppg), who has worked hard this offseason and should be an important contributor this upcoming season. Keep an eye on newcomer junior Justin Johannes, the 6’8 wing has performed well in the off season and should make an impact on the interior and scoring. The Pirates open the 2024-25 season hosting Lincoln Charter Nov. 22nd.
