The Pirates will look a bit different but similar from last season. 6’1 Senior guard Miley Malcolm returns after a year away from Porter Ridge basketball and has committed to Drexel for 2026. Junior guard Ashanti Taylor returns and will continue her assault on the Union Co. record book. Taylor (31.1 ppg/10.9 rpg/3.5 apg/5.5 spg/1.1 bpg/26% from 3/All-SCC/1st Team All-district) had one of the best seasons ever in union county history. Junior guard Kali Williams (14.3 ppg/4.4 rpg/2.6 apg/2.6 spg/28% from 3) was name 3rd Team -All UCHoops and All-SCC is back. Sophomore Molly Malcolm (5.3 ppg/4.6 rpg/1.3 spg) is back after starting as a freshman. Keep an eye on freshman Sidney Harris for Porter Ridge. She’s an athletic wing that can score. The Pirates open the 2025-26 season hosting S. Iredell on Nov. 14th.
