The Warriors will have to rebuild in 2025-26 season, it will start with the head coach. John Lattimore replaces Gary Ellington after 300+ wins, 2 State titles and 18+ seasons with Weddington. The Warriors will look a little different but somewhat familiar to from last season. The Warriors graduated 3 starters including 2-time UCHoops POY KJ Younger (25 ppg/8.7 rpg) and 2nd team UCHoops Mason Zepp (10.4 ppg/4.1 rpg) along with UCHoops All Defeanse team member Jayden Nnaji. The backcourt has experience with senior guards Jake Ford (4.7 ppg) returning, Ford along with sophomores Tre Jefferson (4.5 ppg/28% from 3) & Brandon Barbier (3.0 ppg /1.4 apg) will make the backcourt rotation strong. Both Jefferson and Barbier started multiple games as freshman and that experience will go a long way as sophomores. 6’5 junior wing Max Muteb (2.5 gpp/2.5 rpg) will be productive in the paint if you get him the ball inside and will get the opportunity. The Warriors open the 2025-26 season at Cox Mill on Nov. 14th.
